Last night you left me

Last night you left me and slept,
your own deep sleep. Tonight you turn
and turn. I say,
"You and I will be together
till the universe dissolves."
You mumble things in your sleep.

Dashboard lights..

All night we steamed the windows
With wild laughter,
In the wide absorbing dark.
Sleep is for others;
We can always sleep
But never live again.
